Tarrytown Lakes Visitor Kiosk and Masterplan

Tarrytown, New York | 2016 | 1,000 SF | Concept Design

We are working with the non-profit Tarrytown Lakes Committee on a vision for a master plan and digital information kiosk for Tarrytown Lakes, a 72-acre nature preserve. The intent is to draw visitors from the region to this nexus of trails and to provide them with historical, environmental, and current information about the area. Linearscape has participated in multiple community meetings to generate ideas for the master plan and kiosk, garner support from local stakeholders, and find consensus among all of the interested parties. Located on the main road leading into the town of Tarrytown the kiosk and information center are intended to be portals into Tarrytown. The kiosk will provide information digitally so that it can be continuously updated to reflect current environmental conditions and local events. The site encourages visitors to stop, learn, see, and listen to the environment around them.
