Pacific Terrace

Brooklyn, New York | 2020-2023 | 1800 SF | Townhouse Renovation | Completed

Pacific Terrace is the upper duplex of a historic townhouse in the Crown Heights North Historic District. The townhouse is designed by George P. Chappell in Renaissance Revival & Romanesque Revival styles and was completed by 1893.

The upper duplex features a floor-through living space on the second floor. The light pours in from the north and south windows. A minimalist kitchen with white oak cabinets and dark Caesarstone countertops is nested in the center to connect the living space and the office or bedroom. The top floor has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The visual connection from the street to the backyard is maintained with a pair of sliding doors from opposite ends of the primary bathroom. The roof offers great views of the Brooklyn skyline.
